The Manila runway run was the country’s first run on the airport runway followed by the musical performances to celebrate the inclusion of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) in the Top 10 Most Improved Airports of 2018 by Sky Trax, held at the Terminal 2, Arrival road, Parañaque, Metro Manila.
The program started at 7:00 in the evening to check-in, claim the race kits and for the Bus transfer from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2, where the race was set up. Following up to 10:00 in the evening, the runway closure for the opening ceremony purposes. The registration was closed 11:00 in the evening to start up Zumba for the warm-up before taking the run. Festival activities were done with the sponsor booths, SplitEx and KEFA were one of the sponsors as part of the Runway event in giving away free insurance benefits to secure the safeness of the runners —Sponsors including Digital out of Home, Star 8 and presented by Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) together with Philippine Airlines. The 5-kilometer run started at the 12-midnight following the Musical performances done in 1:00 in the morning. The event ended at 3:00 in the morning exhaustingly but happy with substance.
This event was done with purpose, the proceeds of the event will be for the benefit of the Philippine General Hospital’s Cleft Lip Palate Foundation.
